No. GetYourGuide currently does not allow a supplier account to be created for Egypt. An Egyptian tour operator should not prepare an application on the assumption that registration or approval is available.
This is different from a non-permitted activity country
GetYourGuide also states that it is not permitted to offer activities taking place in Afghanistan, Cuba, Bangladesh, Belarus, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine or Venezuela. This is described as a requirement under Sections 3.1 and 7 of the Supplier Terms and the sanctions and trade-restriction laws referenced in the “Relevant Requirements” definition in Exhibit A.
That list concerns where an activity takes place. Egypt’s supplier-account availability is a separate onboarding restriction. A country not appearing in the non-permitted activity list should not be interpreted as confirmation that businesses registered there can open supplier accounts.
What can an Egyptian tour operator do?
- Check the supplier portal and Supplier Terms for future policy changes
- Ask GetYourGuide support for written confirmation before relying on third-party advice
- Build visibility through eligible marketplaces, Tripadvisor, Google and a direct website
- Keep business, tax, licensing and payout documents ready for other platforms
- Never create an account under another country or identity
Do not try to work around the restriction
Using another country, company or representative simply to bypass eligibility can create compliance, payout and account-ownership problems. Business identity, bank and tax information should always be truthful and consistent.
Platform rules can change. Confirm the latest position directly with GetYourGuide before making a commercial decision. Zookia can help Egyptian operators choose other channels and build a direct booking foundation, but cannot override platform eligibility.
