Email marketing and consent

If you choose to subscribe and confirm your email, we will send Zookia newsletters, promotional offers, information about our services, free resources, and tourism or travel-business updates. These are marketing emails. Subscription is optional and is not a condition of buying a service or using an enquiry form.

We record the email address, signup source, consent wording and version, request time, confirmation time, subscription status and delivery status. The newsletter form does not collect your personal name. We use the information to manage your subscription, deliver relevant Zookia marketing and understand our audience in aggregate. We do not sell or rent your contact information or mailing list to other businesses.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out without an account, fee or explanation. Unsubscribing stops future queued marketing emails; a message already in transit may still arrive. Essential messages about an existing service, security or a request you made are separate from marketing and may still be sent when necessary.

Confirming your email

Newsletter signup asks only for your email. The wording next to the Subscribe button explains the marketing subscription; choosing Subscribe requests those emails. We then queue a confirmation message. Your address is added to the marketing audience only when you confirm it using the link and confirmation button. Confirmation links expire after 48 hours. If you did not request a subscription, ignore the message or use its unsubscribe link. We do not automatically subscribe Google users, audit requesters, contact-form visitors or clients.

What our messages contain

Messages may include newsletters, promotional service offers, free downloads or resources, product or service information, and practical travel-business guidance. Subjects and sender information must accurately describe the sender and content. Free resources do not imply paid services are free. We do not promise a fixed sending schedule.

Emails include Zookia's configured business identity, contact email, postal address and unsubscribe link. This system does not include tracking pixels or per-recipient click tracking. Delivery status describes processing or mail-server acceptance, not proof that someone opened or read an email.

Unsubscribing

Use the unsubscribe link in any email; it does not require login. Mail clients supporting one-click unsubscribe can also submit the opt-out directly. We suppress future queued sends immediately after the request is processed. You can also contact us for help. We keep a minimal suppression record so an opt-out is respected. A new subscription requires a fresh explicit signup and confirmation.

Anonymous totals and client publicity

We may use genuinely anonymised, aggregated figures to describe our business, such as the number of clients we have served or newsletter subscribers. Subscriber counts are not presented as client counts. Totals must be accurate and must not identify an individual or reveal confidential commercial information.

Newsletter signup, an enquiry or use of our tools does not give permission to publish your personal name, company name, logo, identifiable project details or testimonial. We will seek separate, documented client approval before using identifying company details, logos or case-study material publicly. Approval should specify what may be used and where. Contact us to withdraw permission for future use; we will review existing material and applicable contractual obligations.

Contact and requests

Contact Zookia Solutions at info@zookia.cc or through the contact page for privacy questions, access, correction, deletion, marketing objections or publicity-permission requests. Our business mailing address is 183/A, Ganguldeniya, Pilimathalawa, Sri Lanka 20450. We may ask for proportionate information to verify a request before disclosing personal data. You may also raise concerns with the data-protection authority that applies to you.
