More OTA accounts can increase reach, but each one adds content, inventory, guest messages, reconciliations and policy changes. The right number is the number your team can keep accurate.

Add a channel for a reason

Compare its traveller audience, destination strength, product fit, commercial terms, payment timing and support. A marketplace with large traffic may still be a poor match for your experience.

Prepare operations first

Use one source of truth for capacity, cut-off times, prices and blackout dates. Decide who owns listing updates and guest messages. If instant booking is enabled, inventory must be genuinely available.

Keep the product consistent

Names and formatting can differ, but duration, inclusions, restrictions and meeting information should not contradict each other. Audit every listing after an operational change.

Measure useful outcomes

Track completed bookings, gross margin, cancellation rate, support time and review quality by channel. Do not keep a marketplace solely because it generates views.

Start with one platform, stabilise the workflow and add another only when it reaches a different valuable audience. Zookia helps teams manage marketplace setup, listing quality and multi-channel operations without losing sight of profitable direct bookings.
